Founder of D.T. Moore and Company, LLC Daniel is a Salem area CPA. Daniel received his Bachelor of Business Administration- Accounting Degree, Cum Laude, from Kent State University and his Master of Public Administration from Gannon University, Erie, PA.

Daniel has served on many boards including the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC) and was appointed Chair of the Wage and Investment subgroup of IRSAC. He was appointed to serve on several AICPA committee including the Individual Technical Resource panel, Tax Practice Management Committee and the IRS advocacy and Relations Committee.  He has also served on the IRS executive steering committee for the 1040 modernized E-file platform implementation.

Daniel conducts continuing education seminars for other accountants on topics ranging from advising clients on social security benefits, planning for college costs, working with tax exempt organizations, as well as individual and business tax annual updates. He has taught income taxation as an adjunct professor at Youngstown State University. Daniel has served on the AICPA Tax Strategies conference planning committee for many years and is currently the Chair of the Tax Strategies conference.

Locally, Dan has served as past president of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, past President of Rotary Club of Salem, past President and Treasurer of the Salem High School Alumni Association. Dan is currently on the board of the Salem Regional Medical Center Foundation, Meals on Wheels of Salem, Columbiana Counseling Center, and the Kent State University Columbiana County advisory council. 

Daniel’s ever-growing practice concentrates on accounting, tax planning and preparation, payroll services, and compliance for individuals and small businesses. He enjoys working with startup companies from concept through development to growth.
